On the eve of her senior year of college, Elena, a Latina journalism major, is chasing the prestigious Ashdale Garthwinger Award for Journalistic Excellence through her diligent work of calling out and calling in all of the cultural appropriation she sees woven throughout her university’s campus culture. When a mysterious new app arrives on campus and threatens to render her research and application obsolete, Elena sets out to investigate the app and its impact. A new sci-fi musical satirical comedy about the intersection of identity and social media and what it means to be yourself, out loud.
