It’s a simple act to choose kindness. Deciding to put the needs of others before our own, taking a moment to acknowledge the struggles of others, or passing on a kind word. In the shuffle of fast-paced lives, these acts sometimes fall away. The need and desire to succeed or simply get through our days overtake us. The spellers in tonight’s Bee are thrust into competition under a variety of circumstances and must ask themselves: How will I succeed, and will I do so with kindness?
